Temporary EHS/SDS Administrator – 3-Week Summer Assignment
Location: GM Warren Technical Center – Warren, MI (On-Site)
Duration: Approximately 3 Weeks (Temporary Assignment)
Looking for a short-term opportunity to gain valuable experience in Environmental Health & Safety?
We are seeking a detail-oriented SDS Administrator to support a fast-paced team at the GM Warren Technical Center. This is an excellent opportunity for a college student home for the summer, a recent graduate, or someone with an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) background, looking to gain hands-on experience with regulatory compliance and Safety Data Sheet (SDS) management.

What You'll Be Doing
- Maintain and update Safety Data Sheet (SDS) information within the customer database
- Process and track new product submissions for corporate and plant approval
- Ensure SDS documentation meets OSHA, plant, and corporate compliance requirements
- Assist employees in locating product and SDS information within the database
- Participate in material approval meetings, record meeting notes, and distribute follow-up information
- Audit departments for compliance with customer and regulatory guidelines
- Communicate with suppliers, manufacturers, and internal stakeholders to obtain required documentation
- Support Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) initiatives and regulatory compliance efforts
- Assist with database searches, reporting, and troubleshooting activities
- Maintain records of approved products and communicate updates to affected personnel

Preferred Qualifications
- Previous knowledge of Safety Data Sheets
- Pursuing or recently completed a degree in:
- Environmental Health & Safety
- Biology
- Chemistry
- Engineering
- Environmental Science
- Other technical disciplines
- OR equivalent experience in a manufacturing, industrial, laboratory, or chemical environment
- Familiarity with OSHA, EPA, NIOSH, or EHS regulations is a plus
- Previous internship, co-op, or technical work experience preferred but not required
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
