Job Summary:
The Teacher is responsible for the upkeep of the student learning platform and the provision of assistance to students across all levels (6-12th Grade). This multifaceted role entails conducting training sessions, offering ongoing support to learners, assigning courses, monitoring progress, planning extracurricular lessons, and assessing the program’s efficacy. Additionally, the Teacher maintains open channels of communication with parents, guardians, and students to ensure a collaborative learning environment. Furthermore, they diligently collect and organize essential documents vital for various administrative procedures, including registration and record-keeping.
Duties:
- Take daily attendance on Student Information System (SIS).
- Finalize student grades using SIS gradebook and student platform upon course completion.
- Assign new courses on Student platform based on student graduation plans after each completed course.
- Refer seniors (students with 4 credits or less) to CAP Advisor for Post-Secondary Advisement via email.
- Call students to attend in-person class quarterly.
- Engage students by encouraging completion of courses providing positive feedback.
- Make necessary announcements about upcoming events to all students.
- Send welcome letter emails to all students at the beginning of the year and to new students throughout the year, including start dates and login information.
- Update individual student graduation plans after every completed course and confirm grades rolled into SIS.
- Monitor progress for each student on roster.
- Call parent about student progress and/or meet with them during Community Day.
- Plan extracurricular lesson plans and/or projects for students.
- Complete professional development courses approved by administrator.
- Assist with yearly student assessments, if applicable.
- Attend to staff meetings when needed.
- Assists during enrollment periods.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
High School Diploma Required.
AA or AS is preferred.
Proficiency in classroom management techniques
Strong communication skills.
Candidates must see education as a vocation and are willing to go above and beyond the call of duty for the success of all students.
Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of individual students.
Bilingual: English/Spanish preferred.

Monday - Friday - 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM (regular school year)
Summer schedule hours may vary.
Background Level II required.
