Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and vigilant Security Supervisor to provide on-site supervision of security guards for protection, patrolling and surveillance monitoring for government-owned EPA research laboratory.
Responsibilities
- Supervise security staff to ensure effective coverage of all security zones, including CCTV monitoring and patrols
- Coordinate access control procedures for employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors to maintain a secure environment
- Conduct regular surveillance using CCTV systems and other security technology to detect suspicious activity or potential threats
- Respond promptly to security incidents or emergencies, including medical emergencies requiring CPR or first aid intervention
- Manage conflict situations with professionalism and resolve disputes through conflict management techniques
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies during investigations or incidents requiring external support
- Maintain detailed incident reports, shift logs, and security records to ensure accurate documentation of daily activities and incidents
Experience
- At least one year experience in administration of security operations, law enforcement, military service, or related fields with a focus on safety and loss prevention
- Strong knowledge of surveillance systems such as CCTV and alarm systems
- Certification in first aid and CPR is highly desirable
- Familiarity with conflict management strategies and de-escalation techniques
- Experience in conducting security patrols and loss prevention activities
- Ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism and discretion
