We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our leadership team as the Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON). As the Assistant Director of Nursing, you will play a critical leadership role in supporting the daily operations of the nursing department. You will partner with the Director of Nursing to ensure exceptional resident care, regulatory compliance, and clinical excellence. This role is ideal for an experienced RN looking to expand their leadership skills, gain broader operational experience, and continue building a successful nursing management career.
- Provide day-to-day clinical leadership and support to nursing staff
- Serve as the nursing department leader in the absence of the Director of Nursing
- Mentor, coach, and develop nurses and nursing assistants through orientation, training, and ongoing education
- Assist with resident assessments, admissions, and care planning
- Promote clinical excellence through quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives
- Ensure compliance with state, federal, and organizational regulations and standards
- Support survey readiness efforts and regulatory compliance
- Monitor documentation practices and clinical processes to maintain high-quality care
- Coordinate staff education, competency validation, and mandatory training programs
- Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, engagement, and continuous learning
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license required
- Long-term care or skilled nursing experience required
- Previous nursing leadership experience strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and nursing standards of practice
- Excellent communication, coaching, and team-building skills
- Passion for mentoring staff and developing future leaders
- Commitment to resident-centered care and exceptional outcomes
