- Ensures students are properly supervised and engaged at all times while maintaining state regulated ratios
- Plays and interacts with children throughout the day
- Administers basic first aid
- Changes diapers and tends to basic physical needs and all aspects of care required by children in the infant room.
- Displays professionalism and maintains confidentiality when interacting with staff and families
- Maintains classroom cleanliness according to health and safety regulations
- 18 years of age or older with a high school diploma or GED
- Ability to respond well to unusual or crisis situations
- Flexible and able to work with any age group when necessary.
- Able to lift up to 40lbs.
- All other duties as assigned
This position requires the ability to engage with children at their eye level, in indoor and outdoor settings, listen to and observe others’ actions and take corrective actions when necessary. This position also requires the physical ability to move about the property in various environmental conditions.
Summary
As a Lead Teacher, you will support the development and care of your students in a nurturing classroom environment. Your core responsibilities will include providing attentive childcare, engaging in early childhood education practices, and ensuring a safe and stimulating atmosphere. Strong communication and classroom management skills will be essential as you collaborate with families and staff to foster a positive learning experience for our youngest learners.
