Position Summary
Alternative Aire is seeking a motivated and customer-focused HVAC Service Technician to join our growing team. The Service Technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, servicing, and maintaining residential HVAC equipment while providing an exceptional customer experience.
The ideal candidate is dependable, professional, mechanically inclined, and passionate about helping homeowners improve the comfort, safety, and efficiency of their homes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain residential HVAC systems.
- Perform routine maintenance and system inspections.
- Identify repair and replacement opportunities and clearly communicate recommendations to homeowners.
- Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through professional communication and service.
- Complete all service tickets, notes, and documentation accurately and timely.
- Follow company procedures, safety standards, and quality expectations.
- Maintain company-issued tools, equipment, and vehicles in a clean and professional manner.
- Participate in ongoing training and development programs.
- Work closely with dispatch, sales, installation, and management teams to ensure an outstanding customer experience.
- Represent Alternative Aire and Chill Brothers professionally at all times.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Residential HVAC service experience preferred.
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities.
- Knowledge of heating, cooling, ventilation, and refrigeration systems.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage workload efficiently.
- Ability to use mobile devices and service software.
- EPA Certification required.
- NATE Certification preferred.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work in attics, crawl spaces, rooftops, and outdoor environments.
- Ability to climb ladders and navigate confined spaces.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 75 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and reach for extended periods.
