Veterinary Receptionist – Specialty Practice

Missouri Veterinary Dermatology and Missouri Animal Cancer Care (MACC) are seeking a part-time Veterinary Receptionist to join our growing specialty team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys client interaction, thrives in a fast-paced medical environment, and takes pride in organization, communication, and teamwork.
Our receptionists play a vital role in supporting our veterinarians and technicians while ensuring an excellent experience for clients and patients from the moment they walk through the door.

Key Responsibilities
- Greet clients and patients in person and by phone in a professional, compassionate manner
- Schedule, confirm, and manage appointments
- Set up new clients and patients in the medical system (Vetspire)
- Prepare, scan, and organize medical records
- Answer and direct phone calls efficiently
- Process payments and check clients in and out
- Maintain a clean, organized front office and reception area
- Receive, sort, and distribute mail
- Receive, stock, track, and inventory pharmacy medications and prescriptions
- Assist with filling prescription and mailing immunotherapy treatments to clients
Ideal Candidate Qualifications
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Self-motivated and dependable
- Comfortable working in a busy veterinary environment
- Prior veterinary receptionist experience preferred (but not required)
Schedule & Position Details
- Workdays: Monday, Wednesday and Friday (3 days per week)
- Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Lunch: 30 minutes – 1 hour
- Status: Part-Time
- Compensation: $22–$24 per hour, based on experience
- Start: Immediate opening available
