Drive for Red 9 — Real Money, Straight Talk, Family-Owned
Red 9, LLC is a family-owned cement hauler based in Picayune, MS, and we’re adding drivers to our travel rotation as we put three new trucks on the road. We’ll be straight with you about this job — the good and the hard — because we’d rather tell you the truth now than surprise you later.
The hard part: most of our loads start in the middle of the night, because that’s when concrete plants pour. And our rotation drivers are out two weeks at a time. The good part: the work is steady, the money is real, and if you run hard, we make sure it pays.
What You’ll Earn
- Real weekly money: $1,500–$2,000+ per week once you’re rolling on our rotation.
- New here? $1,000/week guaranteed your first 4 weeks while you learn our routes — you won’t sink while you ramp up.
- Daily per-diem: $50 cash for every night you’re staying away from home, paid in advance. Hotels are on us.
- Safety bonus: an extra $5–$15 on every single load based on your safety score — up to about $10,000 a year.
- Detention pay: if a plant holds you up, you still get paid for your time.
- Year-end bonus: performance and profit-based, paid every year we’ve been in business.
The Job
- Haul dry bulk cement on our steady out-of-town account — about 3 loads a day, and far less weather-affected than local work
- Two weeks out, then home. When you’re home, you run local loads
- Most loads start overnight — early risers thrive here
- A real ladder: start on the rotation, and there’s a clear path to full-time travel work where our top drivers clear $115K+
- Family-owned: when you call, a person answers. Every non-driver in this company — office, dispatch, shop, management — has one job: support the drivers in the field. No exceptions.

Duties
- Safely operate commercial trucks with manual transmissions across designated routes, ensuring compliance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards
- Load and unload pneumatic bulk trailers at terminals and customer plants
- Navigate routes efficiently and on time using GPS navigation systems to optimize delivery schedules and reduce transit times
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with safety protocols
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, cargo documentation, and delivery records in accordance with FMCSA regulations
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues promptly
Qualifications
- Valid CDL-A license with a clean driving record
- 2 years verifiable driving experience
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely
- Willing to travel 2 weeks at a time on our rotation
- Knowledge of FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) rules
- Strong understanding of logistics cargo handling procedures and safety protocols during load & unload operations
- Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety, efficiency, and customer service
