Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable and hardworking General Laborer to join our team supporting a major U.S. Navy initiative focused on corrosion mitigation, prevention, and composite component installations. Each team consists of 6-12 laborers, with steady weekly work available in Norfolk Naval Station/ NOB, no certification is required. Candidates should have experience in cleaning, surface preparation, priming, and painting Must pass background check.
Duties
- Assist with the assembly line by loading, unloading, and organizing materials
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently
- Use hand tools and power tools to assemble or disassemble components as needed
- Support manufacturing processes by moving raw materials and finished products throughout the facility
- Perform general cleaning and maintenance of work areas to ensure safety and cleanliness
- Follow safety protocols at all times to maintain a secure work environment
- Support mechanical tasks such as basic repairs or adjustments to machinery under supervision
- Assist with inventory management and stocking supplies within the warehouse or manufacturing floor
Requirements
- Laborers hired for the NOB Naval Station must have a passport or REAL ID
- Prior experience in manufacturing, factory work, or warehouse environments is preferred
- Mechanical knowledge and familiarity with assembly line operations are highly desirable, OSHA10 Certified but not required.
- Experience operating forklifts, power tools, and hand tools is a plus
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks regularly
- Strong attention to safety procedures and ability to work in a team-oriented environment
