NW Industrial Staffing is currently seeking a Maintenance Mechanic for a family owned and operated company in Springfield with a long history of providing metal products and components for the electrical and construction industries. This is an evaluation to hire for a skilled maintenance technician or mechanic in a production environment with great hours.
Job Duties:
- Install, assemble and test new machines and equipment.
- Inspect machines regularly for signs of malfunctions; including visual inspections, listening for irregular noises and conducting scheduled testing as appropriate.
- Monitor, identify and respond promptly to malfunction in machinery such as changes in performance, temperature fluctuations, sounds, smells or atypical energy usage.
- Perform troubleshooting for production machinery
- Perform routine preventative maintenance for each piece of equipment.
- Perform repairs on various types of machinery, including hydraulic, electric and pneumatic.
- Identify and replace worn or damaged parts in a timely manner.
- Use a variety of power and hand tools to perform job functions.
- Welding and fabrication projects for internal projects and repairs.
- Maintain clean machinery and workspace.
- Create and maintain a schedule for inspection, service and testing of machinery.
- Read and comply with work orders concerning service, modification or installation of machinery.
- Understand and comply with workplace safety regulations.
- Work effectively with other team members in a loud environment.
Qualifications:
- Three years or more of experience in industrial maintenance.
- Experience in both driving forklifts and forklift maintenance
JOB DETAILS:
- Location: Springfield, OR
- Shift: Days
- Schedule: Monday - Friday
- Hours: 6AM to 2:30PM (overtime as needed)
- Pay: $26/h + DOE
