Meyer Mfg. Sales Support Specialist/Shipping Supervisor is responsible for efficient entry of sales information and orders, along with the subsequent customer/dealer support and eventual logistical planning for on-time delivery of product to its final destination. Supervising loading employees, inbound and outbound shipping details and related paperwork. Commitment to maintaining Meyer product knowledge, both current and historical, is important. General knowledge of the agricultural industry will add value to the position as well.
Responsibilities:
*Answer customer/dealer sales calls and questions as needed
*Whole goods (sales) order entry
- generate accurate order acknowledgements based on orders received
- distribute completed acknowledgements to necessary individuals
(Sales Mgr., Inside Sales Mgr., Territory Rep., Dealer, Other)
*Add/Update wholegoods orders, utilizing Sales Tracker Tool. Coordinate inventory
movements & transfers as required. Coordinate with Inside Sales Mgr, Demand Planner,
Production Planners and BOM department.
*Support sales department call over-runs, demands & customer support as needed
*Maintain high level of customer service & support
-always exhibiting upbeat, ethical behavior while representing Meyer and its products
*Attend weekly sales meeting in order to be aware of rep concerns, lead times, product
availability and updates.
*Whole goods(sales) invoicing
-confirming that invoiced product, options & price match the original order
*Assist in providing serial numbers when requested ahead of invoicing (when possible)
*Organize shipments of completed product at the direction of Inside Sales Mgr.
-Includes contacting Meyer dealers when products are completed, dispatch of necessary trucking, when applicable, as well as coordination with MMC loading staff
*Prepare shipping documentation, such as bills of lading, packing lists, dock receipts, etc.
*Verify adherence of documentation to customs, insurance, or regulatory requirements
*Involved with negotiating freight contracts when required
(At the discretion of Inside Sales Manager)
-Responsible for analyzing and deciphering best shipping alternative based on product, price, and destination to achieve most economical and reliable alternative
*Daily Supervision of Meyer whole goods loading staff
-include planning, load instruction, and troubleshooting of issues that arise
-document loads and dimensional information for future reference
-monitor loading staff concerns including attendance, vacation requests, hiring, firing, concerns
-help the Loading Team identify any product quality concerns before final shipment
*Confirm constant safe practices relating to loading/unloading of Meyer product
*Track tire/wheel inventory/tire warranty claims
*Control tire/wheel traffic between MMC and tire installation vendors
*Coordinate certain inbound freight as required at the direction of Production/Inventory Control Dept.
*Coordinate certain outgoing parts freight at the direction of Parts Department
- sometimes involves coordination with outbound wholegood product shipments
*Monitor outgoing scrap metal loads
*Alert Management of price discrepancies / concerns prior to processing acknowledgements, orders or other dealer and customer transmissions.
*Follow-up with dealers/customers as needed in a timely fashion to maximize customer satisfaction
*Assist Marketing Department with updating documents relating to sales programs / monthly
mailer. Coordinate monthly emails to dealers relating to monthly mailer and special announcements.
*Work with Meyer Marketing and Sales Team to gather supplies, apparel, literature, and other support materials as needed.
*Adapt to use of Meyer CRM (Customer Relationship Mgt) System as it is implemented.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent required. Exceptional organizational and planning skills. Understanding of Word, Excel, and general computer knowledge required. Strong, confident communications and customer service skills and 2 years of supervisory, shipping experience is preferred.

This individual will report directly to: Inside Sales Manager
Hourly Position, 7:00 am – 4:00 pm M-F typical (40-42.5 hours per week depending on workload)
· Half hour lunch (unpaid)
· Two 10-minute breaks provided (paid)
Wage Starting: $25.57 – $31.28 dependent on background and work experience
