Job Title: Phlebotomist
Location: Charlotte, NC
Job Type: Contract/Temp.
Schedule: 40 hours/week | Days//8am-5pm M-F
Job Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection using straight and butterfly needles.
- Label, process, centrifuge, and prepare specimens for laboratory testing.
- Collect, handle, and store blood and other specimens according to established procedures.
- Verify patient identity and update patient information accurately.
- Explain specimen collection procedures to patients in a professional and courteous manner.
- Ensure physician orders are accurately followed before specimen collection.
- Maintain specimen integrity and comply with quality assurance standards.
- Perform routine equipment maintenance, decontamination, and documentation.
- Adhere to infection control, safety, and HIPAA guidelines.
- Provide excellent patient care while working in a fast-paced clinical or laboratory environment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Phlebotomy Certification.
- 2-3 years of phlebotomy experience.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience performing venipunctures in a fast-paced laboratory or hospital setting.
- Strong communication and patient care skills.
