Duties
- Greet customers warmly, offering personalized assistance to enhance their shopping experience
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately for retail sales transactions and cash handling
- Conduct product demos to showcase new arrivals and popular items, encouraging upselling opportunities
- Assist with merchandising, stocking shelves, and maintaining attractive displays to highlight featured products
- Manage inventory levels by stocking shelves regularly and organizing back-stock efficiently
- Provide exceptional customer service by answering questions, offering style advice, and ensuring customer satisfaction
- Maintain phone etiquette when handling inquiries or assisting customers remotely, ensuring clear communication
- Support supervising staff by helping oversee daily store operations and ensuring team members deliver excellent service
Requirements
- Previous retail sales experience preferred, especially in a children’s or grocery store environment
- Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling, and retail math for accurate transactions
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively in English; bilingual abilities are a plus
- Ability to perform basic math calculations quickly and accurately for sales and inventory management
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
- Professional phone etiquette when interacting with customers over the phone or via email
