Application/Service Technician (Applications Department & Service Department)

This is a full-time position for someone who likes working with their hands, isn’t afraid of physical work, and wants the security of a multi-million-dollar company that invests in its people for the long term.
Position Overview
- Full-time hourly role with pay based on experience
- Performance bonuses available after a successful 90-day probationary period
- Typical schedule: Monday–Friday, ~40 hours
- During harvest season, overtime, early mornings, evenings, and some weekends are required to meet customer needs
- Overtime paid at 1.5× your regular rate for all hours over 40
What You’ll Do
Custom Application Work
- Set up and run application equipment for product treatments on potatoes and onions in storage
- Monitor product levels and equipment during applications
- Climb ladders and work on top of potato/onion piles to take temperature readings, place flags, and remove fan screens
- Clean equipment and work areas after each job
- Assist other applicators when needed
- Deliver and pick up product from customer locations
Service Department Work
- Install new equipment and systems in customer storages
- Replace and upgrade existing equipment (fans, controls, sensors, and related components)
- Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on application and storage equipment
- Keep company vehicles, tools, and work areas clean and organized
- Support other departments during peak periods when needed
Who We’re Looking For
- Reliable, teachable, and ready to show up every day
- Comfortable working independently while still being a strong team player
- Detail-oriented and able to keep accurate daily work logs
- Prefer candidates with basic electrical knowledge and power tool experience
- Mechanically inclined and enjoy hands-on problem solving
- Able to work in different locations and weather conditions daily
- Professional and respectful with customers and coworkers
- Capable of regularly lifting 50 lbs and performing physical tasks (climbing, working on piles, etc.)
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license with a clean/acceptable driving record (required to drive company vehicles — please do not apply if your record is not acceptable)
- Must pass a drug test and background check
- Willingness to work overtime, evenings, and weekends during the busy harvest season
- Looking for someone who wants a long-term opportunity, not just a short-term job
