BKI Services is seeking experienced and reliable armed patrol and security officers to protect designated people, property, and assets. Candidates must possess a valid Colorado Springs Armed Security Guard License and demonstrate sound judgment, professionalism, and the ability to respond effectively to security incidents. Prior military, law enforcement, or security experience is preferred.
Qualifications – Security Officer(Armed) ~PRNRequired
- Valid Colorado Springs Armed Security Guard License
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Relevant firearms licensing and training
- Clear criminal record and ability to pass a background check
- No felony convictions, domestic violence convictions, or any status prohibiting firearm possession
- Reliable transportation
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift/carry up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and in varying weather conditions
Preferred
- Prior military, law enforcement, or security experience
- Own firearm and level 2 or above holster
- At least one year of armed or unarmed security experience
Responsibilities – Security Officer(Armed) ~PRN
- Protect assigned individuals, property, facilities, and assets from unauthorized activity, vandalism, harassment, and other threats
- Patrol assigned areas by foot and/or vehicle and remain alert for suspicious activity
- Monitor CCTV systems, alarms, access points, and security equipment
- Control facility access and maintain visitor logs when required
- Secure buildings, doors, gates, windows, and other designated areas
- Respond appropriately to emergencies, security incidents, and potentially dangerous situations
- Provide escorts for employees and visitors as needed
- Coordinate with law enforcement, fire, and medical personnel during emergencies
- Investigate incidents, remove trespassers, and take appropriate action when authorized
- Complete detailed incident reports and maintain accurate documentation
- Maintain firearms, equipment, and uniforms in accordance with company standards
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and applicable state laws
- Testify in court when required
