Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Diesel Truck Mechanic to join our team. Unique opportunity to create your own culture and run a new shop dedicated to company owned equipment. This pivotal role involves overseeing all vehicle maintenance and repair operations, ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel-powered trucks, box trailers, tankers, and lift gates.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect, diagnose, and repair diesel engines and related systems
- Perform routine maintenance (oil changes, filter replacements, brake service, etc.)
- Work independently and maintain repair records
- Maintain and repair trailers and tankers as required.
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues
- Repair or replace defective parts, components, or systems
- Conduct safety inspections and ensure compliance with D.O.T. regulations
- Maintain accurate service and repair records
- Maintain a clean, safe shop in compliance with workplace safety regulations
- Collaborate with team members to complete repairs efficiently
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (technical certification preferred)
- Proven experience as a diesel mechanic
- Knowledge of D.O.T. Pre and Post trip inspection requirements
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems
- Fabrication / Welding experience highly desired
- Ability to use diagnostic tools and repair equipment
- Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred but not required)
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with heavy-duty trucks (e.g., Freightliner, Volvo, Peterbilt)
- Experience with tanker and van trailers (lift gates)
- Welding or fabrication experience
- ASE Certification or equivalent experience
Work Environment:

- May require lifting heavy parts (75+ lbs)
- Occasional overtime and weekend work as needed
