We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Girls Youth Mentor to inspire and empower young girls in our community. Duties
- Establish meaningful connections with girls through active listening, encouragement, and mentorship.
- Develop and implement engaging activities that promote personal development, social skills, and self-esteem.
- Provide guidance on academic challenges, behavioral issues, and emotional well-being with sensitivity and professionalism.
- Collaborate with families, educators, social workers, and community partners to support each girl’s unique needs.
- Monitor progress and maintain detailed records of participation, achievements, and concerns to ensure ongoing support.
- Facilitate conflict management by mediating disputes and promoting positive communication among participants.
- Assist in organizing workshops, outings, and events that foster leadership, teamwork, and community engagement.
Skills
- Strong background in social work or child welfare with experience working with children or youth.
- Knowledge of special education principles and working with individuals with disabilities to ensure inclusive support.
- Understanding of behavioral health issues relevant to youth development and mental wellness strategies.
- Proven experience in mentoring or teaching young people in diverse settings.
- Excellent conflict management skills to handle challenging situations constructively.
- Compassionate childcare skills combined with the ability to motivate and inspire young girls.
