Right Way K9 Training is a rapidly growing dog training, boarding, and daycare company dedicated to helping dogs and their owners build stronger, more joyful relationships. We specialize in beginner on-leash to advanced off-leash obedience training, behavior modification for mild to severe behavioral issues, early puppy development, and canine psychology and social behavior.

Position Overview
This position begins as a Kennel Technician and serves as the foundation for future advancement within our company. Successful candidates will learn every aspect of our operation, from dog care and facility management to dog behavior, enrichment, handling, and training.
This is not intended to be a permanent entry-level position. It is designed for individuals who are interested in building a long-term career in the dog industry and are willing to earn increased responsibility through hard work, reliability, professionalism, and continued learning.

At Right Way K9 Training, we believe great trainers are built from the ground up. Every trainer in our organization begins by mastering the fundamentals of dog care, facility operations, safety, observation, communication, and professionalism.
Primary Responsibilities
- Feeding, watering, and medicating dogs according to instructions
- Monitoring dogs for signs of stress, illness, or injury
- Providing potty breaks and daily care
- Maintaining clean, safe, and sanitary kennel environments
- Cleaning and maintaining all facility areas
- Greeting clients and assisting with dog check-ins and check-outs
- Supporting the daily operation of the facility
- Learning dog behavior, handling skills, and training concepts
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- No prior dog industry experience required
- Strong work ethic
- Reliable transportation
- Dependable and punctual
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Comfortable working around dogs of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments
- Interest in dog behavior, training, and professional development
Schedule Requirements
- Open availability required
- Must be available during operating hours (6:00 AM - 10:00 PM)
- Starts part-time with advancement opportunities into expanded hours and responsibilities
- Long-term commitment preferred
Physical Requirements
- Standing and walking for extended periods
- Frequent bending, kneeling, lifting, and cleaning
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Compensation
Starting at $15.00-$17.00 per hour, depending on experience.
All employees receive a 90-day performance review. Advancement opportunities, wage increases, expanded responsibilities, and future trainer development opportunities are based on performance, reliability, professionalism, initiative, and mastery of job responsibilities.
