Job Summary
Join our dynamic horticultural team as a Cannabis Trimmer, where your attention to detail and passion for plant care will help produce high-quality cannabis products. In this role, you will be responsible for meticulously trimming, pruning, and preparing cannabis plants to ensure optimal growth, appearance, and potency. Duties
- Carefully trim and prune cannabis plants to promote healthy growth and maximize yield according to established SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures)
- Remove excess leaves, stems, and other plant material to improve product appearance and quality
- Assist with plant training techniques such as topping, defoliation, and lollipopping to optimize light exposure and airflow
- Monitor plants regularly for signs of pests or diseases, implementing integrated pest management strategies when necessary
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas, tools, and equipment to ensure a safe and efficient workspace
- Support irrigation management by ensuring proper watering schedules are followed in greenhouse or outdoor settings
- Follow all safety protocols related to handling horticultural tools, chemicals, and plant materials
Skills
- Growing experience with cannabis or other horticultural crops in greenhouse or outdoor environments
- Knowledge of irrigation systems and agricultural environmental control systems
- Familiarity with crop production techniques, including pruning, trimming, and plant pest control
- Ability to identify various plant pests and diseases quickly and accurately
- Experience managing horticultural teams or working collaboratively in a team setting
- Proficiency with hand tools used for gardening and trimming tasks
- Basic math skills for measuring plant growth or adjusting nutrient levels accurately
- Physical ability for heavy lifting, standing for extended periods, and performing repetitive tasks in outdoor or greenhouse conditions
- Strong understanding of horticulture principles including landscaping, lawn care, greenhouse cultivation, and garden trimming
