Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patrols of the venue, including entrances, exits, and all key areas, to deter unauthorized access and monitor for suspicious activity.
- Manage access control systems to verify identities and permit entry for authorized individuals while denying access to unauthorized persons.
- Respond promptly and effectively to emergencies using established procedures, including fire safety protocols and first aid measures such as CPR and AED operation.
- Write detailed incident reports documenting any security breaches, disturbances, or safety hazards encountered during shifts.
- De-escalate conflicts using conflict management techniques, ensuring a peaceful environment while adhering to legal and regulatory standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience in security roles, preferably within nightlife venues or similar environments.
- Knowledge of law enforcement procedures, fire safety regulations, and emergency response protocols.
- Certification in first aid, CPR, AED operation, and Taser (nice-to-have) with the ability to perform manual handling safely.
- Strong communication skills for incident report writing and customer service interactions.
- Ability to perform physical security duties including heavy lifting and prolonged patrolling in various weather conditions.
- Background in military or law enforcement is advantageous but not mandatory; a commitment to compliance with all security regulations is essential.
