Overview
McCourt Equipment is seeking a skilled and motivated Industrial Electrician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems on crushing, conveying, and organics processing equipment.
This position is ideal for an experienced electrician who enjoys troubleshooting complex electrical issues and working with heavy industrial equipment. You will work closely with our Service team to identify electrical problems, perform repairs, and help ensure our customers' equipment operates safely, reliably, and efficiently.
The Industrial Electrician will work on a variety of equipment and electrical systems in both shop and field environments. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong troubleshooting abilities, attention to detail, and a commitment to McCourt Equipment's high standards for safety, quality, and customer service.
Duties
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electrical issues on crushing, screening, conveying, and organics processing equipment.
- Perform electrical troubleshooting on heavy industrial equipment in both shop and field environments.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, technical manuals, and equipment specifications.
- Diagnose issues involving electrical components, controls, motors, sensors, switches, relays, and related systems.
- Perform electrical repairs, component replacements, wiring modifications, and system upgrades as needed.
- Inspect electrical systems and equipment to identify potential problems and recommend appropriate repairs or preventative maintenance.
- Test electrical systems and components to ensure proper operation following repairs.
- Perform preventative maintenance to help maximize equipment reliability and minimize customer downtime.
- Assist with the installation, setup, and commissioning of new equipment and electrical systems.
- Work closely with McCourt Equipment's Service Technicians, Service Managers, and manufacturer technical support to diagnose and resolve equipment issues.
- Clearly communicate findings, recommended repairs, and completed work to customers and internal team members.
- Accurately document service work, repairs, parts used, and troubleshooting performed.
- Maintain company tools, diagnostic equipment, and service vehicles in a clean and professional manner.
- Follow all company, customer-site, OSHA, and applicable electrical safety requirements and procedures.
- Maintain a strong commitment to safety, quality workmanship, professionalism, and customer service.
- Travel to customer locations as needed to diagnose and repair equipment in the field.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support McCourt Equipment's Service operations.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an industrial electrician with a strong background in commercial electrical systems.
- Hands-on experience with high-voltage electrical wiring, low voltage systems, and industrial electrical infrastructure.
- Ability to read electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams with precision.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting complex electrical systems using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and multimeters.
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and automation controls is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of electrical safety procedures to prevent accidents during installation or maintenance activities.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments while maintaining high safety standards.

Pay: $25.00 - $32.00 per hour
