Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a strong understanding of food safety and preparation techniques. As a Line Cook, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently while delivering high-quality meals to our guests.
Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Ensure all food safety guidelines are followed, maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
- Assist in meal preparation, including chopping, slicing, and cooking ingredients.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Help with menu planning by providing input on seasonal dishes and specials.
- Maintain inventory of food supplies and assist in ordering as needed.
- Support the dietary department by preparing meals that meet specific dietary requirements.
- Clean kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas regularly to uphold hygiene standards.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in the food industry or as a Line Cook is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices and culinary techniques.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with others.
- A passion for cooking and willingness to learn new skills related to meal preparation and menu planning.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.
