Duties
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair gas engines, including diesel and other fuel types, ensuring they operate at peak efficiency.
- Perform comprehensive engine repairs such as overhaul, replacement of worn components, and system upgrades.
- Utilize schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately and efficiently.
- Conduct electrical diagnostics on engine control systems, sensors, wiring harnesses, and electrical components.
- Maintain detailed service records, inspection reports, and maintenance logs for all repairs performed.
- Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering irons, and heavy lifting techniques to complete repairs safely and effectively.
- Assist in generator repair and maintenance to ensure uninterrupted power supply during operational demands.
- Follow safety protocols diligently during all mechanical and electrical repair activities to prevent accidents or injuries.
Experience
- Proven dealership experience or service technician background specializing in automotive or heavy machinery repair.
- Extensive hands-on experience with diesel engine repair and automotive systems diagnostics.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of engines, mechanical systems repair, electrical systems diagnostics, and equipment repair.
- Familiarity with schematics for electrical wiring diagrams and mechanical system layouts.
- Experience working with Caterpillar or similar heavy-duty equipment is highly desirable.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering techniques, and manual handling for heavy lifting tasks.
- Customer service experience with a focus on clear communication and technical explanations to clients or team members.
- Must Have Own Tools. Welding Experience is a Bonus Pay
