Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, bathrooms, hallways, and public areas using appropriate cleaning equipment and chemical agents
- Handle various cleaning tasks including vacuuming, dusting, mopping, and polishing floors to ensure they are spotless and well-maintained
- Safely manage chemical handling procedures in accordance with safety data sheets (SDS) and hotel safety protocols
- Conduct heavy lifting and manual handling tasks to move furniture, linens, and cleaning supplies efficiently and safely
- Maintain high standards of sanitation and cleanliness throughout all assigned areas, adhering to hotel housekeeping management guidelines
- Follow hotel emergency procedures and report any maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest requests professionally and courteously
Requirements
- Proven experience in hotel housekeeping or janitorial/industrial cleaning roles with custodial experience preferred
- Knowledge of floor cleaning techniques, floor care products, and cleaning equipment operation
- Ability to handle chemical agents safely while maintaining compliance with safety data sheets (SDS) guidelines
- Strong manual handling skills with the physical stamina to perform heavy lifting and prolonged periods of standing or walking
- Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly, professional attitude towards guests and team members
- Familiarity with hotel emergency procedures and safety protocols is highly desirable
- Previous experience in hospitality or hotel housekeeping management is a plus but not mandatory
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
