Overview
Join our dynamic healthcare team as an Assistant Director of Nursing, where you will play a pivotal role in leading and coordinating nursing services to ensure exceptional patient care and operational excellence. Duties
- Assist in developing and implementing strategic plans to enhance nursing operations and patient outcomes
- Oversee staffing schedules, personnel management, and staff supervision to maintain a motivated and high-performing nursing team
- Manage the department’s budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources while maintaining compliance with financial policies
- Ensure adherence to state-specific education laws, healthcare regulations, and accreditation standards across all nursing practices
- Provide instructional leadership by mentoring nurses, facilitating ongoing education, and promoting professional development opportunities
- Collaborate with school administrative directors or healthcare management teams to align clinical services with organizational goals
- Lead organizational initiatives related to quality improvement, patient safety, and infection control protocols
Requirements
- Proven experience in management within a healthcare or educational setting, preferably in a school or academic environment
- Strong background in strategic planning, budgeting, and organizational budget management
- Knowledge of state-specific education laws and healthcare regulations governing nursing practices
- Demonstrated leadership skills in staff supervision, personnel management in education or healthcare settings, and team management
- Experience in instructional leadership, education administration, or university-level teaching is highly desirable
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to foster teamwork and motivate diverse teams
- Degree in Nursing (RN) or higher; advanced degrees or certifications in healthcare administration or education are preferred
