Position Overview
The Worship & Arts Director leads all worship and creative elements for our Sunday Worship
Experience, Online Worship Experience, and digital media. This role blends spiritual leadership, musical direction, technical oversight, and creative design.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Worship Leadership
- Plan and lead Sunday worship services and rehearsals.
- Cultivate worship that is biblically grounded, God-centered, and participatory acrossgenerations.
- Guide the congregation toward healthy worship practices (Psalm 96:1; Colossians 3:16).Team Development
- Recruit, train, mentor, and encourage worship team members.
- Build a strong team culture marked by collaboration, humility, and spiritual growth.
- Schedule musicians, vocalists, and tech volunteers for services and events.Technical Oversight
- Oversee sound, lighting, media, and all technical components of worship.
- Maintain and update instruments, gear, and production equipment.
- Develop and improve worship systems, workflows, and production quality.Creative & Digital Media
- Support the church’s digital presence (website, social media, online church).
- Design simple digital assets: slides, graphics, social media posts, event materials.
- Maintain consistent, clean, modern branding.
- Participate in weekly staff meetings.Personal & Professional Growth
- Maintain a vibrant personal walk with Jesus.
- Pursue continued growth through conferences, workshops, and networking with otherworship leaders.
- Build relationships with local worship leaders for encouragement and accountability.
QUALIFICATIONS
- A growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
- Experience with worship leading, music, creative arts, or digital media.
- Basic graphic design skills (Canva or Adobe Suite preferred).
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- A humble, flexible, team-first mindset.
- Alignment with CBC’s mission, beliefs, and culture.
- Ability to pass a background check.
- Willingness to review and sign the CBC Employee Handbook.
