About the Role
We are looking for a seasoned, client-focused Senior Tax Advisor to join our team. In this role, you will serve as a trusted advisor to individuals and small business owners — guiding them through tax filing, year-round tax planning, and the development of personalized strategies that maximize tax efficiency. You will own a portfolio of clients, drive new client conversion, and play an active role in expanding our full-service offerings, including tax planning, life insurance, and real estate investment strategies.
Key Responsibilities
Tax Delivery & Compliance
- Manage the timely delivery of tax services for individuals and small businesses, ensuring accuracy and full compliance with current tax laws and regulations.
Tax Planning & Strategies
- Analyze client financial data to identify tax-saving opportunities, including deductions, credits, retirement contributions, business structuring, and other efficiency levers to deliver customized tax solutions
- Develop and present forward-looking tax strategies tailored to each client's financial situation, goals, and business structure.
Client Relationship Management
- Implement a systematic approach to client touchpoints, ensuring meaningful, personalized interactions at every stage of the client lifecycle.
- Develop and execute retention strategies to deepen client relationships and improve satisfaction.
- Proactively identify opportunities to expand services offered to existing clients, including tax planning, financial planning, life insurance, and real estate advisory.
Lead Generation & Client Conversion
- Engage new leads, assess their tax and financial needs, and recommend appropriate services to meet their goals.
- Convert prospects into long-term clients, guiding them through a seamless onboarding experience and into full-service tax engagements.
Life Insurance & Real Estate Case Management
- Collaborate with internal partners on the conversion and onboarding process for life insurance and real estate investment cases.
- Develop and maintain a working knowledge of life insurance and real estate products as tax-efficient strategies, contributing to successful case management and execution.
- Proactively follow up with clients to ensure timely progression and resolution of open cases.
Qualifications
Required
- 5+ years of experience in tax advisory, public accounting, client advisory, wealth management, or financial planning roles
- CPA license or IRS Enrolled Agent (EA) designation (active and in good standing) preferred
- Demonstrated experience preparing personal (individual) and small business tax returns (sole proprietors, partnerships, S-Corps, LLCs)
- Strong client-facing experience with a proven ability to build and maintain client relationships
- Understanding of life insurance and real estate investment as tax-efficient strategies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills — able to clearly educate clients and lead advisory conversations with confidence
- Strong project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple client engagements, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines
- Experience with tax preparation software (e.g., UltraTax, Drake, or similar)

Pay: $100,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
