In this role, you will work closely with students in grades 5-8, providing the academic, behavioral, and emotional support they need to thrive in a safe and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Student Support: Assist students with diverse learning needs individually or in small groups to reinforce academic concepts, and are willing and able to provide personal and health care needs for individuals with disabilities.
- Collaboration: Partner with Special Education and General Education teachers to implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and accommodations.
- Classroom Management: Help maintain a positive, structured, and supportive classroom environment that encourages student independence and growth.
- Supervision: Assist with student transitions and supervision during non-instructional times as needed to ensure safety.
Qualifications & Skills
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required (Associate’s degree or relevant college coursework is a plus).
- Certification: Must hold, or be eligible to obtain, a Wisconsin Special Education Needs Aide License (No. 883). *
- Attributes: Patience, empathy, flexibility, and strong communication skills.
- Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, specialists, and administration.
*Note: The District can assist the right candidate in obtaining the necessary DPI license if they do not already hold one.
