Job Overview
Ridgefield Dental Care is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented patient care coordinator to join our growing private practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our dental practice by providing exceptional administrative support and patient service. This position requires strong organizational skills, proficiency in Dentrix or similar software, a solid understanding of dental terminology/procedures and previous dental front desk experience.
Office Hours:
- Tuesday and Wednesday 10:30 am - 7 pm
- Thursday 7 am - 4 pm
- Friday 7 am - 3:30 pm
- One to Two Saturday(s) per month 8 am - 2 pm
SCHEDULE WILL FALL WITHIN OFFICE HOURS 32-38 HRS PER WEEK
Must have excellent attendance! Consistent, dependable, and predictable attendance is crucial in helping us fulfill our mission of providing high-quality, compassionate dental care.
Duties
- Manage patient scheduling, including appointments and follow-ups, ensuring optimal use of the dentist's time.
- Perform insurance verification, Collections, A/R.
- Maintain accurate dental records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Handle a variety of front desk responsibilities, including answering multi-line phone systems, greeting patients, managing patient inquiries, presenting treatment plans, and collecting co-pays.
- Assist with the intake process for new patients, including collecting necessary information and updating health records.
- Review treatment plans and ensure all documentation is complete and up-to-date.
- Utilize Dentrix for patient management.
- Manage recall and reactivation lists.
Skills
- Proficiency in dental terminology.
- Familiarity with Dentrix or similar dental software.
- Strong understanding dental billing processes.
- Experience in collection practices is a plus.
- Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on patient satisfaction.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
- Previous experience in a dental office is mandatory.
- Strong phone etiquette and communication skills necessary for effective interaction with patients and staff.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
