Duties
- Monitor inmate activities and conduct regular visual inspections of the facility to ensure safety and compliance.
- Enforce rules and regulations within the correctional environment, responding swiftly to disturbances or emergencies.
- Manage inmate movement and oversee daily routines, including meal distribution, recreation, and work assignments.
- Utilize conflict management skills to de-escalate tense situations and maintain order among inmates and staff.
- Complete detailed incident reports, shift logs, and other documentation accurately reflecting daily activities and incidents.
- Administer first aid or CPR when necessary, providing immediate assistance in emergency situations.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Must pass Basic Reading/Writing, Drug, Integrity and background tests
- Must be a United States Citizen (Not work permit)
- Must successfully complete Basic Correction Officer Training
- Must adhere to uniform, dress and grooming policies
