Shaw Mechanical is seeking a highly organized and self-motivated individual to join our team as a Shop Manager. The ideal candidate will have experience in HVAC preferably, good communication skills and organization. As the Shop Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of our shop and ensure the efficiency and productivity of our technicians. Key Responsibilities:
RECEIVE DELIVERIES
- Receive deliveries through shop, count material for accuracy, address discrepancies
- Drive to vendor to pick up orders as needed
DELIVER MATERIAL TO JOBSITES
- Gather and prep list of materials needed for specific jobs
- Run parts and materials to jobsites as needed
INVENTORY
- Keep track of shop tools, note what condition they are in, make sure men return the tools they borrow
- Keep track of inventory materials for construction jobs and install jobs
- Reorder material when needed
- Prep and restock install van and install trailer
MISCELLANEOUS
- Keep shop clean: Sweep, organize, run magnet
- Scrap materials: Disassemble equipment and take to scrapyard
- Manage fleet: Keep track of oil changes needed, address vehicle issues, coordinate with employees to take truck to mechanic when needed
- Take out trash from office and shop weekly
SKILLS NEEDED
