Responsibilities
- Accurately transcribe physician-patient interactions in real-time during clinical encounters, capturing detailed medical documentation.
- Manage and update electronic health records (EHR) and electronic medical records (EMR) systems efficiently, maintaining data integrity and confidentiality.
- Assist healthcare providers by documenting patient histories, physical exams, diagnoses, treatment plans, and follow-up instructions with precision.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and clinical confidentiality policies while handling sensitive medical information.
- Support the medical team by verifying patient information, scheduling follow-ups, and managing medical records requests.
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and emergency room procedures to enhance documentation accuracy.
- Collaborate with clinical staff to improve documentation workflows and achieve optimal EMR/EHR system utilization.
Qualifications
- Fluency in both English and [second language], with excellent verbal and written communication skills in both languages.
- Prior experience in a medical office setting or as a medical scribe is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated proficiency in transcription, typing speed, and accuracy under pressure.
