We are seeking a skilled and reliable Heavy Equipment Operator with a valid CDL to join our fence contracting team. This is a long-term career opportunity for someone who takes pride in their work, values safety, and is comfortable working in a physically demanding, outdoor environment.
Responsibilities
- Operate heavy equipment, including mini excavators, skid steers, and highway-style pressure diggers
- Perform routine maintenance and basic servicing of equipment
- Assist with fence installation as needed
- Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to high-quality standards
- Follow job site plans, specifications, and safety protocols
Skills
- Valid CDL license with a clean driving record for operating commercial vehicles.
- Experience operating construction/heavy equipment
- Knowledge of safety standards and procedures in construction environments.
- Union member (Operators Union) or willing to become a member
- Welding experience is a plus
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Ability to climb on and off equipment frequently with ease
- Capable of performing physically demanding work
- Comfortable working outdoors in extreme weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, etc.)
- Lift 55+ pounds
- Bend, climb, stand, walk, and perform fine motor tasks
Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
