Responsibilities
- Assist delivery drivers with loading and unloading packages from box trucks, ensuring safe handling and proper placement
- Support route driving by helping to organize deliveries for efficient travel and timely completion
- Use manual tools such as pallet jacks or forklifts to move heavy or bulky items safely within warehouses or delivery sites
- Help load and unload goods, ensuring items are secured properly for transit and delivery
- Collaborate with drivers to verify delivery routes, addresses, and special instructions for each stop
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, pickups, and any issues encountered during the process
- Follow all safety protocols during heavy lifting, moving, and driving activities to prevent accidents or injuries
- Qualifications
- Previous experience in customer service or warehouse environments is preferred
- Familiarity with commercial driving, especially box trucks or courier services, is highly desirable
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual labor safely and efficiently
- Experience operating forklifts or pallet jacks is a plus but not required; training may be provided
- Valid driver’s license or state Id is required
- Strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and drivers
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and stand for extended periods
- Assist and provide safety by giving direction when truck is backing up.
