We’re looking for a dependable, detail-oriented person who enjoys working with customers and takes pride in getting things right. As a Client Care Representative for CPC Commodities, you’ll be an important point of contact for our feed customers—taking and processing orders, answering questions, coordinating with our team, and making sure customers receive the products they need when they need them.
This is a great fit for someone who enjoys building relationships, stays organized in a busy environment, and believes good customer service comes down to being knowledgeable, responsive, and following through on what you say you’ll do.
Position Summary
The Client Care Representative is responsible for providing dependable, knowledgeable service to our feed customers and ensuring their orders are handled accurately from start to finish. This position serves as a primary point of contact for customers—taking and entering orders, confirming product and pricing information, coordinating with our internal teams, and helping ensure orders are ready or delivered when promised.
More than simply taking orders, the Client Care Representative works to understand our customers and their needs, build trusted relationships, and make doing business with us easy. This person is expected to take ownership of the customer experience, communicate clearly, and follow through until the job is done.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide friendly, knowledgeable, and dependable service to feed customers by phone, email, and other established communication channels.

- Build relationships with customers by learning their operations, purchasing patterns, and needs.
- Coordinate with production, operations, delivery, sales, and other team members to ensure orders are fulfilled accurately and on time.
- Monitor orders through fulfillment and follow up when necessary to make sure commitments to the customer are met.
- Proactively communicate with customers when availability, production, delivery, or other circumstances affect their order.
- Handle customer questions and concerns with professionalism, good judgment, and a solutions-oriented approach.
- Maintain accurate customer, order, and communication records.
- Take ownership of problems and work with the appropriate team members to see them through to resolution.
- Support the Client Care team and other areas of the business as needed, particularly during busy seasons.
What Success Looks Like
Success in this position means customers can depend on you. Orders are entered correctly, details are checked, commitments are followed through, and customers receive timely communication when something changes. Over time, you develop relationships that allow you to better anticipate customer needs and contribute to both customer retention and sales growth.
Performance expectations may include:
- order-entry accuracy,
- customer responsiveness,
- successful order fulfillment, and
- customer retention.
