We are currently seeking a motivated Logistics Assistant to support our growing operations team.
Job Summary
The Logistics Assistant provides administrative and operational support for daily transportation and logistics activities. This role is responsible for maintaining shipment records, tracking deliveries, coordinating schedules, and assisting with logistics documentation. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist with coordinating daily logistics and transportation operations.
- Monitor and track shipments to ensure timely delivery.
- Maintain accurate records of orders, shipments, and transportation activities.
- Communicate with drivers, carriers, customers, and internal departments regarding shipment status.
- Prepare, organize, and maintain logistics documentation and reports.
- Update shipment information in company databases and tracking systems.
- Assist in resolving shipment discrepancies and delivery-related issues.
- Support scheduling and coordination of transportation activities.
- Help maintain organized filing systems and operational records.
- Perform general administrative and logistics support duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in logistics, transportation, warehouse operations, customer service, or administrative support is preferred but not required.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and data entry applications.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to work.
- Reliable attendance and professional work ethic.
