Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Child Care Assistant to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this role, you will support the development, safety, and well-being of young children by assisting with daily activities, supervising children, and implementing educational programs. Responsibilities
- Supervise and engage children during playtime, learning activities, and mealtime to ensure their safety and enjoyment
- Assist with implementing age-appropriate curriculum focused on childhood development, social skills, and early learning concepts
- Support classroom management by maintaining a clean, organized, and stimulating environment conducive to learning
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress, behavior, and daily activities
- Follow all health and safety protocols, including first aid and CPR procedures, to respond promptly to emergencies or injuries
- Support children with diapering, feeding, nap times, and other daily routines in accordance with best practices for infant and toddler care
- Collaborate with lead teachers and staff to create inclusive activities tailored for children with diverse needs or disabilities
Experience
- Previous experience working with children in daycare centers, preschools, babysitting, nannying or similar settings is highly preferred
- Knowledge of child development principles and early childhood education techniques
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a strong plus
- Familiarity with classroom management strategies and behavior management techniques
- Certification in first aid, pediatric first aid, CPR, or related health & safety training is required or highly desirable
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with parents and team members
- Prior experience in toddler care or infant care settings is advantageous
