American Traveler is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist with Level 1 Trauma OR experience and strong neuro/ortho spine expertise for a hospital Neuro OR position requiring call and weekend rotation.

Hospital-based Neuro OR with 29 operating rooms and approximately 45–60 cases per day
-
Neuro/ortho spine and craniotomy case mix, including simple 1-level to complex 10+ level spine cases, spine tumors, neuro trauma, and DBS procedures

Day shift with 8-hour base shifts and 12-hour shifts as part of call/weekend rotation (D8D12)

40 hours per week
-
Weekday call consists of 2 eight-hour shifts per schedule (2330–0700); weekend call consists of 3 twelve-hour shifts per schedule (0700–1930 or 1900–0730)

45-minute response time required for on-call shifts

Floating to other service lines within the Main OR required as needed

EMR is Epic
-
Scrubs are provided

CST credential required; Virginia CST registration required for consideration

Minimum 2 years of experience in a Level 1 Trauma OR

Strong neuro/ortho spine and craniotomy experience required, including complex multi-level spine cases, spine tumors, neuro trauma, and DBS procedures

BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required

Epic EMR experience preferred

Ability to meet a 45-minute on-call response time

License required if applicable

Scrub in on complex neurosurgical and spinal procedures ranging from single-level spine cases to 10+ level constructs, craniotomies, DBS placements, and neuro trauma cases

Float to other service lines within the Main OR as needed based on staffing demands

Participate in a call and weekend rotation schedule, including overnight and 12-hour weekend call shifts

Holiday coverage expectations include 1 major and 1 minor holiday
