Description:
St. John Vianney Catholic School is seeking a Middle School Florida Certified English/Language Arts Teacher for the 2026-2027 Academic school year. Applicants must hold or be eligible for a valid Florida Educators certification, be self-motivated and energetic. ESE & ESOL certified a plus. SJVS is seeking applicants with knowledge of State Standards, technology integration, and standard-based instruction. Experience in evaluating, documenting, and communicating individual student growth, differentiation strategies, classroom management and willingness to participate in professional development opportunities, a plus. Applicants must be comfortable in a Catholic faith-based setting with a dedication to the St. John Vianney Catholic School mission.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Organize and direct lessons and activities related to the standards.

Develop and document weekly lesson plans consistent with curriculum guidelines.

Provide grade-appropriate instructional program of engaging and interactive activities/lessons for Middle School.

Maintain high professional standards consistent with the mission of St. John Vianney Catholic School and the teachings of the Catholic Church.

Be responsible for the safety and active supervision of students at all times and for classroom management.

Assess and document student progress.

Implement lesson plans, utilizing techniques to motivate, challenge and engage students.

Interact effectively and respond to all parent communication in a professional, empathetic, and timely manner.

Participate in faculty meetings, committees, and professional development opportunities.

Work collaboratively with other teachers, staff, and administration.

Integrate technology effectively into the classroom.
Requirements:
RequirementsEducation and Experience:

Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from an Accredited College or University.

Current Florida Teaching Certificate.

Teaching experience preferred.

Previous experience in a Catholic school setting is preferred.
