Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Engineer with 20+ years of site design and/or municipal engineering experience to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be a Pennsylvania-registered Professional Engineer with strong leadership skills and a client-focused mindset. This role reports directly to the Principal Engineer, works closely with senior staff, and represents clients at all levels. For the right professional, this position offers significant leadership opportunities and a pathway to play a key role in shaping the future of the firm.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage civil/site design and municipal engineering projects from concept through construction.
- Oversee project budgets, prepare proposals, and provide high-quality client representation.
- Supervise, mentor, and develop technical staff, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
- Interpret and apply municipal ordinances, while guiding projects through the regulatory approval process.
- Collaborate with federal, state, and local agencies to secure necessary permits and approvals.
- Prepare technical reports, correspondence, and deliver public presentations.
- Identify opportunities to expand client services and strengthen business relationships.
Qualifications
- Required: B.S. in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program; Pennsylvania Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- Proven project management and staff development experience.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and decision-making skills.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication, including public presentation experience.
- Expertise in site design, subdivision/land development, and stormwater management design and permitting.
- Experience in Municipal Engineering a plus.
- Familiarity with municipal infrastructure projects (design, specifications, and construction oversight).
- Working knowledge of transportation engineering, sanitary sewer, and water systems (preferred).
- Proficiency in AutoCAD/Civil 3D (preferred).
- Ability to manage multiple priorities independently and within a team environment.
