Summary
Phillips Garden is looking for experienced Gardeners to join our talented team of Horticulturists for the rest of the season. This is a full-time, seasonal position. Duties include pruning, soil preparation, planting, mulching, watering, weeding, and some light landscaping work. We seek positive and energetic people who are flexible and enjoy working collaboratively with others in an outdoor environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Load trucks at the beginning of the day.
- Perform gardening tasks as directed by a Crew Leader or Account Manager at client properties.
- Weeding and cultivating gardens
- Pinching, trimming & pruning plants
- Spreading mulch & compost
- Applying amendments as directed
- Plant trees, shrubs, perennials, and annuals
- Drive to pick up and drop off materials as directed
- Unload trucks at the end of the day, ensuring that all equipment and plants are properly secured.
- Light landscape and hardscape installation
- Uphold company core values
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Professional experience in Fine Gardening
- Strong work ethic; dependable, punctual, professional, and safety minded
- Attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and desire to keep learning
- Ability to work on a team
- Ability to be trained on plant materials, tools and best horticultural practices.
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work at a steady pace
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
