Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented Store Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional service to our customers while ensuring the store operates smoothly. This position involves various tasks, including assisting customers, managing inventory, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment.
Duties
- Provide outstanding customer service by greeting and assisting customers in a friendly manner.
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently for transactions, including cashiering and cash handling.
- Stock shelves, must be able to handle lifting 30lbs, and organize merchandise to ensure products are readily available for customers.
- Assist in merchandising efforts to enhance product visibility and drive sales.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the store, including backroom areas.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues with professionalism and courtesy.
- Utilize basic math skills for accurate cash handling and retail math calculations.
Skills
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on creating positive shopping experiences.
- Proficiency with POS systems and basic cashiering functions.
- Experience in retail sales or similar environments is preferred.
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members.
- Knowledge of merchandising principles and effective stocking techniques.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately.
- Strong phone etiquette for handling customer calls professionally.
