Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced General Contractor/Owner to lead and oversee complex construction projects from inception to completion. This pivotal role involves managing all aspects of construction operations, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in strict compliance with safety and regulatory standards. As a key leader, you will coordinate with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to drive project success while maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency. Your expertise in construction management software, project scheduling, and cost control will be instrumental in delivering outstanding results on diverse infrastructure and commercial projects.
Duties
- Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects, ensuring adherence to schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
- Develop detailed project plans using advanced project management software such as Primavera P6, HeavyBid, or similar tools.
- Oversee the preparation and review of construction estimates, budgets, and schedules to optimize resource allocation and cost management.
- Manage teams across multiple projects by assigning tasks, monitoring progress, and fostering effective communication among all stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with all construction regulations, safety protocols, and environmental standards throughout project lifecycle.
- Review construction plans, schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to ensure accuracy and feasibility before execution.
- Coordinate project schedules with subcontractors and vendors using tools like Microsoft Office Suite and construction scheduling software to meet deadlines.
- Conduct site inspections regularly to monitor progress, quality control, safety adherence, and regulatory compliance.
- Manage contracts with clients and subcontractors by negotiating terms, overseeing change orders, and ensuring contractual obligations are met.
- Facilitate project meetings to review progress updates, address challenges proactively, and align team efforts toward shared goals.
Experience
- Proven experience managing large-scale infrastructure or commercial construction projects with a strong track record of successful delivery.
- Extensive knowledge of construction regulations, safety standards, and environmental compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in construction management software such as ProCore, Bluebeam Revu, Primavera P6 or similar platforms for scheduling and document control.
- Skilled in construction estimating techniques including HeavyBid or equivalent tools for accurate cost forecasting.
- Demonstrated ability to read blueprints, schematics (including Civil 3D drawings), and technical plans effectively.
- Strong background in managing complex budgets while controlling costs through effective cost management strategies.
- Experience leading diverse teams on-site with excellent leadership skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with contracts negotiation, project documentation management, and regulatory permitting processes.
- Construction site experience with a focus on safety practices and regulatory compliance across various types of infrastructure or commercial developments.
