Job Type: Full-time
Starting Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
*All pay and promotion decisions are performance-based
We are Seeking a reliable driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods and materials in a safe and timely manner.
Schedule: Monday through Thursday, 7:00 am – 5:30 pm
*Must be available to work as late as 7:00 pm each day as delivery schedules and traffic are unpredictable. All time worked over 40 hours per week will be considered overtime and paid at time and a half
Responsibilities:
· Safely operate various types of vehicles including box trucks, trucks with trailers, flatbed trucks, and forklifts.
· Loading, transporting, and unloading manufactured goods using company provided trucks.
· Plan and follow designated routes for efficient delivery
· Returning Signed packing list
· Inspecting the shipment prior to loading for proper packaging and wrapping.
· Pre-trip and post-trip safety inspections on the vehicles and trailers used.
· Maintain required documentation and paperwork for shipments, driver logs, and any other safety, maintenance, and DOT regulations.
· Provide excellent customer service during deliveries.
· Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations.
Qualifications:
· Valid Driver’s License with a safe driving record to be verified by an Official 10 Year Driver Record provided by the Department of Motor Vehicles.
· In compliance with all D.O.T. requirements.
· Compliance with zero-tolerance drug policy
· Ability to lift objects up to 50 pounds.
· Must be willing and able to drive for long periods of time.
· Ability to operate a truck with trailer, box truck, and forklift.
· Excellent time management and communication skills.
· Self-motivated.
· On-time and reliable.
