This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to begin a rewarding career in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) or special education. No RBT certification is required to apply—we provide paid training and support you every step of the way!
Able Academics is a private school serving students from preschool through high school who benefit from Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) in a structured educational environment. Our team of Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs), teachers, and behavior professionals work together to help every student reach their full potential.
What You'll Do As a Behavior Assistant, you will:
- Work one-on-one and in small groups with students under the supervision of a BCBA and classroom staff.
- Help students develop communication, social, academic, self-help, and daily living skills.
- Encourage positive behaviors using evidence-based teaching strategies.
- Assist with implementing individualized behavior support plans.
- Collect simple data and communicate student progress with your supervising team.
- Support students during classroom instruction, activities, transitions, and social interactions.
- Build positive relationships with students, families, and coworkers.
- Create a fun, engaging, and supportive learning environment where students can thrive.
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- Experience working with children is preferred but not required
- Positive attitude, patience, and enthusiasm for helping others
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to pass a Level 2 background screening
- Willingness to learn and grow in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis
