Pipe Layer Laborer
Superior Skilled Trades is seeking a Pipe Layer Laborer for a long-term commercial construction project in Davenport, Iowa.
Job Details
- Pay: $23.00–$25.00 per hour (based on experience)
- Start Date: July 27, 2026
- Schedule: Monday–Friday
- Hours: Approximately 40 hours per week
- Shift: 7:00 AM – 2:30 PM (8-hour shifts expected)
- Duration: Long-term assignment
Job Responsibilities
As a Pipe Layer Laborer, you will:
- Measure and cut sections of pipe according to project specifications
- Lay pipe into trenches
- Assemble pipe using joints, fittings, and adhesives
- Test pipe systems to ensure proper installation
- Backfill trenches after installation
- Locate, remove, and replace existing water lines
- Assist the crew with general labor duties as needed
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of commercial construction experience
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Dependable with a strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Must be able to safely use hand tools, power tools, and required PPE
Physical Requirements
Candidates must be able to:
- Stand, crouch, bend, and twist throughout the workday
- Work in outdoor conditions and at heights when required
- Lift up to 50 pounds unassisted
- Perform physically demanding construction tasks safely
Required PPE
- Steel-toe work boots
- Face mask (as required)
Additional Requirements
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
- Must have reliable transportation to and from the job site
- Depending on the assignment, applicants may be required to complete a pre-employment drug screen and background check
