Job Summary
Join our BF Nelson dynamic team as a 3rd Shift (10pm - 6am) Material Handler and Forklift Operator, where your energy and precision will keep our warehouse operations running smoothly overnight. In this vital role, you will be responsible for efficiently handling materials, operating various types of forklifts and material handling equipment, and ensuring the safe and accurate movement of inventory throughout the distribution center. Your proactive approach will support seamless shipping, receiving, storage, and order fulfillment processes, contributing directly to our company's success and customer satisfaction. Duties
- Safely operate a variety of warehouse equipment including clamp trucks, pallet jacks, Hi-Lo forklifts, and manual handling tools to load, unload, and transport materials.
- Manage inventory by accurately scanning barcodes using warehouse management systems (WMS) and performing regular stock counts to ensure data integrity.
- Load and unload shipments from trucks, ensuring proper stacking and secure placement of goods on pallets or shelving units.
- Conduct routine equipment inspections and minor repairs to maintain optimal operation of forklifts and other machinery in compliance with OSHA safety standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment by adhering to safety protocols in accordance with OSHA regulations and company policies.
- Support shipping & receiving activities by preparing items for dispatch, verifying shipment accuracy, and documenting inbound/outbound logistics activities.
- Other tasks as needed.
Skills
- Proven experience operating reach trucks, forklift (including lift truck), clamp truck, pallet jack, Hi-Lo, and other heavy equipment safely.
- Strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS), barcode scanning for logistics, inventory management, and warehouse distribution processes.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards related to materials handling equipment operation and warehouse safety protocols.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting while maintaining proper ergonomic practices.
- Basic math skills for counting inventory, measuring loads, and verifying shipment quantities accurately.
- Experience with order picking techniques using various equipment such as <PERSON> pickers or order pickers to maximize efficiency.
- Familiarity with shipping & receiving procedures including load & unload operations and documentation requirements.
- Warehouse supervisor experience or familiarity with warehouse operations management is a plus for understanding workflow coordination.
- Must be forklift certified and at least 1 year of experience.
- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus!

Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
