Direct and instruct custody and housing officers assigned to their area of responsibility in regard to their duties and responsibilities. Ensure that officers remain alert and responsive to any situation that may arise on the shift.
Perform duties assigned by the RUM, Prison Counselors, Captain, Assistant Deputy Wardens, and Deputy Warden. Disseminate information to line staff and pass on pertinent information to supervisory staff. Assist in the orderly operation of the housing unit and the shift.
Education
Completion of 15 semester (23 term) college credits in any field.
Experience
Three years of experience equivalent to a Corrections Officer E9, Corrections Medical Officer E9, or Special Alternative Incarceration Officer E9; or, two years equivalent to a Resident Unit Officer E10, Corrections Transportation Officer E10, Corrections Medical Unit Officer E10, or Special Alternative Incarceration Officer E10; or, one year equivalent to a Corrections Shift Supervisor 11 ro Assistant Resident Unit Supervisor 11.
