Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and personable Server to join our vibrant hospitality team! Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements, ensuring a smooth flow of service
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, processing sales transactions efficiently
- Provide expert recommendations on menu items, including wine pairings and cocktail options, to enhance guest satisfaction through upselling techniques
- Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining presentation standards and ensuring food safety protocols are followed
- Manage cash handling responsibilities accurately, including processing payments and giving correct change
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and adhering to food handling regulations
- Engage with guests to foster positive relationships, address special requests or concerns, and ensure an outstanding guest experience
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly preferred, especially in fine dining settings
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is essential for efficient order processing
- Strong knowledge of beverage service including spirits, wine, cocktails, and open table reservations (OpenTable experience is a plus)
- Demonstrated ability in upselling menu items to increase sales while providing excellent customer service
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables simultaneously without compromising quality of service
- Food safety certification and understanding of sanitation practices are required to maintain health standards
- Prior experience in host/hostess roles or cashiering can be advantageous for guest relations and cash handling responsibilities
