Leapros Skilled Trades is actively hiring Electrician in St. Louis Park, MN. The Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in commercial and service-oriented environments. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical codes, the ability to troubleshoot complex systems, and a commitment to performing high-quality work in accordance with safety standards.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $20 to $35 Per Hour BOE
Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems including conduit, lighting fixtures, and electrical panels.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform corrective actions to minimize system downtime.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams for new installations and repairs.
- Bend and install conduit to accommodate wiring needs across various facility layouts.
- Pull electrical wiring through conduit and connect it to circuit breakers, transformers, and outlets.
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on electrical equipment.
- Ensure all electrical work complies with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used during service calls.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in commercial electrical installations or service work.
- Strong working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
- Possession of necessary hand tools and personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively on job sites.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Reliable transportation to commute to sites in the St. Louis Park area.
Physical Requirements:
- Must have manual dexterity, a good sense of balance, and excellent hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to climb stairs, ladders, and poles as needed for site access.
- Must be physically capable of pulling wires and cables through conduits.
- Must be able to see color to discern color-coded wiring.
- Must be able to sit, stand, kneel, stoop, walk, and sit for long periods of time.
- Capable of lifting and carrying tools and materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Awareness of OSHA safety standards and ability to work in various weather conditions.
Pay Transparency:
The anticipated pay range for this position is $20 to $35 per hour, based on relevant factors such as experience, skills, education, internal equity, and geographic location. Final compensation will be determined during the interview process by the hiring authority.
